Festival season is approaching! Okay, so festivals are a big thing in the UK from around June – August there’s festivals non stop. It’s my favourite time of the year, sunnys, denim shorts, sun hats music and best of all GREAT FOOOOODD! Here’s a list of some of the best food festivals going on in summer 2015!

Great food + Great music = The Best Summer


This festival is looking to be great! It’s hosted by Jamie Oliver and Alex James. They have a lot going on, music, chefs, an AEG big kitchen and cooking club, festival food, a healthy living zone, somewhere for the kids to play, cheese hubs, food, drink & lifestyle markets, funfair, farms, bars. You’re not going to be short of things to do, I can promise you that much!

They have a pretty neat line of speakers including Ella Woodward (Deliciously Ella) , Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley (Hemsley + Hemsley), Gennaro Contaldo, Olivia Wollenberg (Livia’s Kitchen), James Lowe, Jamie Oliver himself and a few other popular chefs.

Musically we have: Paloma Faith, Groove Armada, Grandmaster Flash, Ella Eyre, Cuban Brothers, Norman Jay MBE and DUKE.

Date: 28th August – 30th August (you can buy single day tickets too)

Price: Adult camping ticket (18+) – £154.50

Teen camping ticket (13-17) – £79.50

Under 12s camping ticket – £21.15

The day tickets range from £47.25 – £69.50 for adults (18+) and £21.15 – £42.25 for teen (12 -17) all under 12’s get free entry.

Located on Shoreditch High St, this weekly festival is super cool it starts from 5pm to midnight. So you can think of it as your midnight feast! They have such a huge range of things to eat from pizza, salads, cakes, sweets, churros, American fried chicken! My mouth waters just thinking about it! *drools*. I can’t emphasise enough how much choice you’ll have to eat in this food fest. You can keep the bars and clubs because this is my kind of Saturday night!

In Central Londons Regents Park we have Taste of London ! This festival is a lot more fancy Nancy than the others but it’s very reasonably priced. You can expect a  Champagne Laurent-Perrier master-class (with the premier ticket), live demonstrations from top chefs Monica Galetti, Ben Tish, Hamisha Brown and many more. A wine theatre sharing how to serve, prepare  and pair wine with meals.

Price: From £16 – £90

The standard ticket on a Wednesday starts at £16, Lauent-Perrier Master-class is for over 18’s only. You can get the tickets at £84 if paid n advance and £90 on the door.


If you’re anything like me, coffee keeps your world spinning. This festival is dedicated specifically to all you coffee lovers. This is London’s biggest coffee event. There will be food courtesy of Arancini Bros, Herman ze German and St John Bakery. There’s a barista competition in which some of the best baristas in the world compete for a £5,000 prize. You’ll also learn the plenty of different ways you can brew and make coffee at home, there’s live music and lots of tastings.  After this festival you won’t need to look further than your kitchen for your Starbucks fix.

This festival has so much to offer, chefs, music, cookery school, pop up restaurants, street food, tasting theatre, feasting tent and a BBQ arena! Foodies Festival is very family friendly with lots to do for kids, they have their own cookery school and everything!

Price: £12.00 – £48.00

    • Haha, I was thinking to go Taste of London too, fairly priced and not too far from me. Urban Food Fest is one I’m definitely heading to though, apparently they have live musicians there, so it’s a bit of a party but instead of getting your cucumber sandwiches you get fresh burgers and cakes and sushi instead! *drools*
